THE BEST WAY TO LEARN ITALIAN: SINGING!!!

As I wrote in the latest article, the best way to learn Italian is eating, but it’s not the only one, now I’ll tell you about another one!

I like to have breakfast while I do other things. And before and during breakfast I like listening to the news and music on the radio. A good song can really change the mood of the day, it can bring to mind good memories, if I like it so much I can even sing it (fortunately I live alone;) and it could be the best way to learn Italian!! How? I try to explain it to you.

HOW TO BE STRESS-FREE

Learn a language can be difficult, I know it, therefore listening to music can help you to learn stress-free as you can read on mosalingua.com. Popular music is a good place to start with Italian music because, generally, the words are simple and the sentences are short so you can learn basic Italian vocabulary and you can practice listening skills. Moreover, pop songs are catchy! Listening, again and again, music it’s normal rather than to listen many times somebody who order a coffee in a cafeteria, don’t you think so? That’s why it’s the best way to learn Italian!

HOW TO LEARN ITALIAN

I know that you cannot fully learn a language just by listening to the songs as Agnieszka Murdoch has written and said, but listening to the songs and finally singing them could help you learn Italian in a less stressful and in a motivating way. Therefore it could be an easier way to learn to speak Italian, to catch the Italian accent and to familiarise yourself with the sound of the language!

HOW TO PUT TOGETHER THE PIECES OF ITALIAN CULTURAL PUZZLE

If someone, walking with you hand in hand on a cold winter evening, whispered: “gelida manina”, maybe if you do not know opera, you really would not understand the cultural references. Or, for example, while doing “occhi dolci” to a beautiful guy, your boyfriend said to you: “il triangolo no, non l’avevo considerato”, what would you understand? Or, for instance, a friend, finishing a discourse, said: “E va bene così!!!”. As Ermy Pedata has written you would feel like you are missing a huge piece of a cultural puzzle. So, as you can read, music can help you to put together the pieces of Italian cultural puzzle.
